Dear all,
I recently installed Arch on my notebook and I cannot complain at all. The notebook is working almost compleatly out of the box. However, a list of few things are not working as wanted. I'll address them separately in other threads though. Here, I have the following problem:
Download the driver. Navigate to the MySQL website. Click the Product Version drop-down menu and select 5.1.48. Download the appropriate archive based on your operating system. Unpack the archive file using WinZIP (for Windows files) or another utility. Locate the JDBC driver mysql-connector-java.jar inside the archive. Microsoft® ODBC Driver 13.1 for SQL Server® - Windows, Linux, & macOS. The Microsoft ODBC Driver for SQL Server provides native connectivity from Windows, Linux, & macOS to Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Azure SQL Database. Locate the Shell Hardware Detection service, select it with a single left click and press the Restart button - does it prompt to restart the Windows Image Aqcuisition too? Next locate Windows Image Aqcuisition and select it with a left click, then press the Retart button. can you see the service successfully restarted or not? I found MS telling me awhile ago that there was no driver for my Webcam and Audio Driver right after I installed windows, but the next day, after I turned on my computer, minutes later, MS update told me it had both drivers to download and another time, with the same computer, it installed the new updates shortly after the install. (3) Right click the bottom left corner of ①Windows icon, click to open ②Device Manager. Click ③Display adapters, right click ④NIVIDA GeForce MX250, click ⑤Update Driver. Note: You may need to select the dedicated device for different drivers. (4) Click ⑥Browse my computer for driver software.
I'm using a Samsung 530U4E-S02. This notebook has two GPUs. A Radeon HD8750M and the integrated Intel GPU HD 4000 (from an i5-3337U). I installed budgie-desktop with gnome and I'm running GDM as Display Manager. Also I installed xf86-video-amdgpu as well as xf86-video-intel.

A feature I had on windows was wakeup from Standby when opening the lid of the notebook after I closed it before. This is not working on Arch though. I tried to figure out what the problem is. I read of people wanting to disable this feature, which is possible with 'echo LID > /proc/acpi/wakeup'. When examining the content of this 'file', the output is:

It seems like the LID is not detected at all. Do I have to compile a custom kernel for this? My research one the Internet did not yield a useful information. Maybe somebody of you has an idea.
